How to make your Mica power efficientBy performing the following modifications, your Mica will be able to run the low power Snooze component in TinyOS which puts your Mica to sleep. In sleep mode, the Mica consumes ~50-75uA. You will need: First place solder over the two connections of R31. Bridging this bypasses a diode that that battery voltage would otherwise go through. Solder the diode to the large reservoir capacitor, C5. Solder the wire wrap to the other side of the diode. Then solder the wire wrap to the positive side of C9. Lastly, remove R29. You're done! Now you can install the nesC TestSnooze component. Be sure to program the "little guy" with LG_sleep for maximum current conservation in sleep mode.
